Sir Fazle Hasan Abed Ramon Magsaysay awardee 1980 Founder and chairperson, BRAC ( Bangladesh) Message from Sir Fazle Hasan Abed We have in Bangladesh some of the most
ancient Buddhist heritage site. I am proud of these monuments.
I always support the activities and organizations which have world peace as their objective. After having a briefing from Mr. Sidhartha Gauri of The Buddhist Forum about the international sign campaign "Save Stupas Save Buddha”. I felt that I could support this campaign which has the potential for uniting the Asian countries on a common platform of peace. Beside, peace, the sign campaign also tries to mature Buddhist cultural ties among Asian countries and strengthening national economy through the tourism sector . Therefore this campaign has all the elements which appeals to me. I intend to provide support to this campaign in Bangladesh. I should like to convey my best wishes to those working for this campaign and carrying a message of peace among nations of Asia and the world. Peace to all. Sir Fazle Hasan
