Message from Dr. Parichart Suwanbubbha
In my teaching commitment at Mahidol University or elsewhere such as international conferences or seminars, I have always focused on proposing innovative and sustainable peace projects through the process of dialogue to prevent the violence among different identities such as races, political convictions and religions. I have always been looking forward and promoting research based programs which have the potential to develop inter-religious harmony and give a more understanding and empathy among global citizens. At the same time, I met Mr. Sidhartha Gauri, the president of “The Buddhist Forum” based in India who briefed me about the outcomes the international sign campaign “Save Stupas Save Buddha” which I personally feel is the concept which has essence to bring the Asian countries on the platform of peace, cultural affliction and economic growth .
Although I consider the inner peace as the priority, the physical religious reminders such as the holy stupas and others also attract faith, respect and inspiration and encourage followers into practice. I wish to congratulate all the members of the forum and offer my humble support for this effort to bring inter- cultural cooperation to highlight the importance of peaceful relations among people of Asian countries.
